Job Purpose
To administer client business on a day-to-day basis handling all aspects of their insurance requirements on new and existing business, accounting and claims. Co-ordinating as necessary between client and insurance company and other members of staff.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Seek out and obtain business new to the Company and of a nature to enhance the profitability of the Company.
- Work with the management in identifying new markets both in respect of new business and facilities available for clients. Identifying and creating cross selling opportunities with the existing client base.
- Renew those existing policies/accounts as are allocated to you as your responsibility.
- Liaise with other staff to ensure papers for renewal and rebroking are prepared satisfactorily and on time.
- Negotiate premiums with underwriters in conjunction with the account handler to ensure renewals and new business papers are prepared in good time.
- Liaise with the account handler to ensure premiums are debited and collected in good time.
- Deal with claims as necessary to ensure a satisfactory settlement/conclusion.
- Maintain a suitable diary.
- Handle day to day enquiries from clients and refer as necessary to account handlers and/or management.
Qualifications required:
Minimum level – Cert CII but preferably above.
With more than 2 years' experience of carrying out the same or similar role.
